Job Purpose

Responsible for managing and controlling the full-cycle project schedule across design, procurement, construction, and validation phases for pharmaceutical engineering projects. This role ensures timely delivery while upholding quality, safety, and regulatory compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Schedule Development

  2. Create and maintain comprehensive master schedules (Level 1–4) using Primavera P6 or MS Project.

  3. Integrate inputs from design, procurement, construction, and validation teams.

  4. Sequence activities based on pharmaceutical process logic and workflows.

  5. Progress Monitoring & Control

  6. Update site progress weekly, tracking critical paths and buffer times.

  7. Identify risks of delay and support mitigation or recovery strategies.

  8. Manage milestone schedules, especially those tied to equipment installation and validation.

  9. Reporting & Communication

  10. Produce weekly/monthly progress reports and 3-week lookahead schedules.

  11. Present scheduling updates during internal and client meetings.

  12. Assist in preparing Time Impact Analysis (TIA) and claims documentation.

  13. Risk Management & Coordination

  14. Participate in project risk reviews, incorporating schedule-related risks into the risk register.

  15. Collaborate with construction, safety, and logistics teams to optimize activity sequencing.

  16. Validation Coordination (if applicable)

  17. Work closely with the validation team to ensure timely achievement of IQ/OQ readiness milestones.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Construction, or Project Management.
  • At least 5 years of scheduling experience, with 3+ years in pharmaceutical projects.
  • Proficient in Primavera P6; skilled in MS Project and Excel for schedule analytics.
  • Familiarity with GMP processes and cleanroom construction sequencing.
  • Knowledge of Singapore's construction regulations (BCA, MOM, SCDF) and site safety standards.
  • Communication and collaboration skills; must be able to work on-site.
