Rebar Scheduler (Work Location is in Singapore)

Rebar Scheduler is responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating rebar (reinforcing steel bar) work on construction projects. They ensure the timely preparation and completion of rebar shop drawings and bar bending schedules (BBS), monitoring material usage and coordinating with inhouse planners, production and site teams. Key responsibilities also include preparing daily work reports, managing material wastage, reducing errors and adhering to safety practices.

Core Responsibilities:

Planning and Scheduling:

·       Develop and maintain project schedules for rebar work, ensuring timely completion of tasks.

·       Prepare rebar shop drawings and bar bending schedules (BBS), detailing quantities, types, and requirements for reinforcing bars.

·       Determine quantities, shapes, sizes, and locations of rebar based on structural drawings.

·       Simplify rebar shapes to increase rebar production productivity and ease of rebar installation with sufficient tolerances

·       Reduction of the number of shape codes

Material Management:

·       Order and manage rebar materials, ensuring timely delivery and availability at the site.

·       Monitor material wastage and implement measures to minimize it.

·       Prepare bar bending schedules (BBS) and material requirements for rebar installation.

·       Reduce rebar scheduling errors.

Coordination and Supervision:

·       Lead and supervise rebar schedulers, ensuring they work efficiently.

·       Coordinate with other trades and construction teams to ensure seamless integration of rebar work.

·       Monitor daily progress and productivity, and report on any delays or issues.

Documentation and Reporting:

·       Prepare daily work reports and concrete casting reports.

·       Maintain records of material usage, wastage, and other relevant information.

·       Prepare risk assessments and safe work procedures for rebar operations.

Other Duties:

·       Assist with site management tasks, such as manpower planning and cost control.

·       Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, and authorities on site issues.

·       Stay updated on industry best practices and relevant regulations.

·       Guide less experience/knowledgeable team members.

Skills and Qualifications Required:

Technical Skills:

·       Experience with relevant software, such as AutoCAD or BIM software.

·       Proficiency in reading and interpreting structural drawings and shop drawings.

·       Knowledge of rebar bending schedules and material specifications.

Experience:

·       Preferably from Reinforcement Steel Manufacturing company or Precaster company

·       At least 2 years of working experience in construction or project management is required.

·       At least 2 years of working experience with rebar scheduling and material management.

Soft Skills:

·       Strong organizational and planning skills.

·       Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to speak/read/write in Mandarin is essential.

·       Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

·       Attention to detail and ability to work accurately.
