Job Overview:

As a Senior Civil Site Engineer, you will play a crucial role in planning, supervising, and executing construction site operations. Your key role is to ensure the execution of projects is on track, adhering to project specifications, timelines, quality standards, and safety regulations. You will oversee the activities of a team of engineers, technicians, and contractors, ensuring seamless collaboration with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Site Operations: Oversee the daily operations on-site, ensuring activities align with project goals, timelines, and quality standards.
  • Supervise Site Work: Supervise and manage the execution of all on-site construction works, ensuring compliance with engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Manage Stakeholder Relations: Liaise with clients, contractors, consultants, and local authorities to ensure effective communication and timely resolution of issues.
  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical support to the site team, offering guidance on complex issues and ensuring adherence to all construction plans.
  • Safety and Quality Control: Enforce strict adherence to safety standards, local building codes, and best practices to maintain a safe working environment. Perform regular inspections to identify and rectify unsafe conditions.
  • Monitor Project Progress: Track project progress and ensure work is completed in accordance with the approved schedule. Take corrective action when necessary to maintain project timelines.
  • Problem Solving: Identify potential challenges or technical issues and implement timely solutions to avoid delays or safety risks.
  • Team Development: Provide leadership to junior engineers and site personnel, offering guidance and training to enhance their skills and professional development.
  • Ad-hoc Tasks: Perform any other tasks assigned by superiors to support the successful execution of the project.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Preferably 2+ year of relevant experience in site engineering or construction management.
  • Strong understanding of construction plans, technical drawings, and specifications.
  • Proficient in project and site management tools/software.
  • Knowledge of local building codes, safety regulations, and the WSH Act.
  • Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to safety and quality.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

  • Experience in supervising and coordinating the on-site execution of works, including piling, rebar, and structural activities.
