Food & Beverage Solutions

We have launched a new platform called Food and Beverage solutions, part of our ingredients and solutions reporting unit. This platform consolidates our current category solutions capabilities and innovation infrastructure. We support customers in developing new consumer concepts and application solutions at our four customer solution centers in Amsterdam, Bangalore, Chicago, and Singapore.  Food and Beverage solutions leverages the strengths of our five product platforms, including their global and sustainable supply chain capabilities, a complementary portfolio of high-quality food and ingredients, and extensive ingredient expertise. This enables us to address a diverse range of customer requirements in the rapidly evolving Food and Beverage industry. Built on deep consumer, category, and application understanding, we are enhancing our application and R&D capabilities to provide an end-to-end integrated customer experience. Consumer & Market Insights Lead, APAC

Location: Singapore, Biopolis

Position Summary

Reporting to VP and Head of APAC Marketing, the Consumer & Market Insights Lead, APAC is a strategic leader responsible for shaping ofi's customer-centric culture by overseeing the vision, development, and execution of market, consumer, and customer insight capabilities within the APAC region. This role synthesizes behavioral, attitudinal, and marketplace intelligence into a cohesive "big picture" that informs enterprise strategy and unlocks growth opportunities.

They provide oversight of customer insights capabilities and syndicated research, ensuring insights are translated into actionable programs, commercial opportunities, and strategic guidance. By combining robust marketplace understanding with strong business acumen, this role enables ofi to anticipate customer needs, validate strategic initiatives, and bring insight-driven innovation to life. The role is accountable for establishing and communicating the strategic insights plan, aligning priorities across business groups, and delivering measurable results to internal clients and stakeholders.

Position Responsibilities 

  1. Strategic Leadership & Insight Vision
  • Provide the vision for ofi's customer insights capabilities, syndicated data strategy, and consumer intelligence ecosystem.
  • Establish and communicate the insight roadmap: defining goals, priorities, methodologies, and actionable objectives that support F&B Solutions' strategy.
  • Lead the cultural shift toward customer-centricity by embedding insight-driven thinking across functions and markets.

  1. Market, Customer & Consumer Understanding 
  • Execute strategic initiatives that deepen understanding of the behaviors, attitudes, motivations, and needs of ofi's customers, consumers, and partners.
  • Connect the dots across multiple insight subscriptions, syndicated data sources, and bespoke surveys, identifying meaningful implications for the business, categories, and customers.
  • Integrate custom research, syndicated data, competitive intelligence, and category trends into cohesive, strategic "big picture" narratives.

  1. Methodological Expertise & Insight Excellence 
  • Leverage deep expertise in a wide range of insight methodologies (qualitative, quantitative, behavioral, sensory, digital listening, conjoint, segmentation, and others) and recommend the right approach for each business challenge.
  • Link consumer insights with sensory insights to identify product gaps, whitespace opportunities, and innovation territories.
  • Ensure high standards in research design, execution, analytics, and interpretation.

  1. Bringing Insights to Life 
  • Transform insights into creative, executable ideas that inspire cross-functional teams and enable differentiated customer solutions.
  • Develop compelling presentations and storytelling assets that "wow" the audience, clearly articulating insight implications and strategic recommendations.
  • Translate insight narratives into tangible programs, frameworks, tools, and product concepts.

  1. Syndicated Data & Marketplace Foresight 
  • Oversee all syndicated insight tools (e.g., Euromonitor, GlobalData, Innova, social listening platforms) while continuing to recommend and build the insight ecosystem to enable the business to deliver powerful insights.
  • Identify macro trends, competitive dynamics, and category shifts that signal risks or growth opportunities.
  • Partner with marketing and commercial teams to embed marketplace foresight into long-term planning.

  1. Ideation & Innovation Collaboration 
  • Lead structured ideation sessions with internal teams (R&D, Innovation, Marketing, Commercial).
  • Facilitate co-creation and innovation workshops with external customers to shape pipeline concepts and partnership programs.
  • Translate insights into pipelines, concepts, value propositions, prototypes, and customer presentations.

  • Operate with speed and efficiency to meet the fast-paced demands of the B2B environment.
  • Prioritize rapid synthesis, crisp reporting, and fast cycle learning that support real-time commercial needs.

Position Requirements 

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Consumer Insights, Behavioral Science, Data Analytics or a related field; Master's preferred.
  • 5–8 years of experience in consumer insights, market research, category strategy, or commercial insights, preferably in B2B/B2B2C in food & beverage or ingredients space
  • Demonstrated ability to structure insights into strategic narratives that influence a variety of stakeholders
  • Experience working with sensory teams and understanding sensory-driven consumer insights.
  • Proficiency with syndicated datasets, research platforms, analytics tools, and visualization dashboards.
  • Demonstrated ability to design, create, launch, and analyze surveys using modern survey platforms
