Assistant Manager, Shipping Trade Management

We're looking for a sharp and proactive Assistant Manager to join our Trade Management team. You'll be the bridge between data, strategy, and execution—making sure our vessels are filled efficiently, our forecasts are spot-on, and our customers are happy.
What You'll Be Doing
- Monitor daily bookings by route and origin, and ensure our space is optimally utilized.
- Provide accurate volume forecasts to guide strategic decisions.
- Share insights on ocean freight trends and market movements.
- Ensure assigned BSA is consistently achieved at 100%.
- Manage contracts for regional/global customers (NVO/BCO), including S/C amendments and filings.
- Communicate with load ports, contract sign offices, and stakeholders across time zones via Teams, email, and phone.
- Work closely with HMM offices, local sales teams, and HQ pricing teams to align strategies.
- Participate in business trips to meet partners and explore new markets.
What We're Looking For
- A Bachelor's Degree in Shipping, Logistics, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in the shipping/logistics industry, with regional trade exposure.
- Strong command of MS Office tools—especially PowerPoint, Excel, and PowerBI.
- Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management abilities.
- A curious mind, a collaborative spirit, and a drive to make things better.
