ECO cum EHS Coordinator

Responsibilities:

• Exercises general supervision within the site on the observance of the provisions of the relevant environmental legislation.
• Prepares and submits Site Environmental Control Programme.
• Prepares and submits Site Environmental Control Report to Project Manager and assist in the implementation of the recommendations

• Advises POC Project Management on:

• Proper management and disposal of solid and organic waste.

• Air pollution control;
• Control of disease-bearing vectors and rodents.
• Control of noise and dust pollution.
• Water pollution control;
• General housekeeping.
• Welfare facilities; and

• Earth control measure.

• Keeps under review circumstances in the worksite which may affect the environment from construction activities.

• Conduct regular site checks and take appropriate corrective actions.
• Identify environmental issues and recommend measures to rectify the irregularities.
• Provide recommendations for improvement periodically on environmental issues in line with

Statutory requirements.

• Exercise control in enforcing compliances to legal requirements and in-house rules.
• Responsible for the execution of various monitoring programme.
• To provide monthly report on ECO system operation and performance.
• To conduct regular inspection to ensure that the measures are at all times in place and complaints related.
• Perform other ECO-related duties as assigned by Reporting Manager

Requirements:

• Recognized certification in workplace safety and health (e.g., Advanced Certificate in WSH)
• Possess a valid ECO & ECMO certification recognized by NEA and IES
• Min 3 years of post-registration and practical experience relevant to the scope of works of the Contracts.
