Simmons & Simmons Adaptive:

Main purpose of the role:

 The strong candidate will provide comprehensive legal support for all Corporate Bank and general regulatory matters in Singapore. This role covers a broad range of banking transactions and regulatory issues, with a focus on loans, structured transactions, and cross-border matters.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Advise on all loans executed under Singapore standard templates.

• Provide legal structuring and regulatory advice for bespoke structured transactions.

• Support all Corporate Bank offshore booking transactions to the Singapore entity.

• Address queries from the Corporate Bank business regarding clients, new initiatives, and business-as-usual transactions.

• Advise on Commercial Bank (CCB) cross-border inbound loans and structured loans.

• Provide legal support for structured trade loans.

• Advise on booking of offshore loans and related matters for Corporate Banking in Singapore.

• Review and advise on all Singapore regulatory issues arising from the above matters, in coordination with the Asia Clusters Loans Legal team.

• Advise on general Singapore legal and regulatory matters.

Person specification:

• Qualified to the Singapore Bar (preferred).

• Minimum 4–6 years' PQE.

• Strong experience in banking and finance law, with a focus on loans and structured finance preferred.

• Singapore law qualifications preferred.
