Central Region, Singapore DP Architects Pte Ltd Full time $60,000 - $120,000 per year

Responsibilities:

  1. Knowledge of fundamental principles and practices of architecture, construction materials and methods, and building codes.
  2. Research on materials, methods, and construction techniques.
  3. Interpret design concept and translating them into workable solution and ensure design quality and authority compliance.
  4. Conceptualize and present design proposal.
  5. Assist and support architect in executing multiple architectural projects.
  6. Assist in tender drawings and material specifications.
  7. Assist in liaising and coordinating with consultants and contractors.
  8. Assist project architect on site implementation.

Critical Work Functions & Key Tasks

1. Feasibility and Design Support

  • Support pre-design work and feasibility studies
  • Support the design processes to meet project objectives
  • Support the preparation of reports on the outcomes of site and zoning analyses
  • Assist to design to the client's briefs, budgets, timelines and in compliance with authorities' requirements
  • Assist in the development of designs taking into consideration technical aspects, relevant codes and standards, and good practice
  • Support design developments and resolution of technical issues
  • Document the designs for costing purposes
  • Take notes during meetings and produce meeting minutes

2. Documentation and Tendering

  • Draft project schedules
  • Assist to administer a standard form of contracts
  • Gather necessary information for work approvals based on regulatory and legislative prerequisites
  • Conduct a procurement exercise

3. Construction and Completion

  • Take notes during site meetings and produce site minutes
  • Check designs for compliance with authorities' requirements
  • Check that construction work satisfies the design intent

4. People and Organisational Functions

  • Gather information on continuous improvement opportunities to architectural services
  • Support the use of the latest built environment trends and technologies
  • Adopt environmental sustainability and green building methods

Requirements:

  • Graduated with a Masters or Degree in Architecture;
  • Possess min 2 to 5 years of working experience;
  • Can do design & experienced in using Rhino, Photoshop, Powerpoint, CAD/REVIT (if possible).
