Your role and responsibilities

The Local Division Manager plays a critical leadership role. This position holds full responsibility for leading sales, marketing, and the portfolio in the local market, ensuring that the division's strategy is executed in a customer-centric and effective way.

The work model for the role is: Hybrid #LI-Hybrid

This role is contributing to the Motion High Power and Motor Drives for Singapore. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the full commercial performance of the local division including revenue growth, customer acquisition, and P&L. You will lead a high-performing team to execute the division's go-to-market strategy, drive sales excellence, and deliver sustainable, profitable growth.

You will ensure local alignment with global strategies while promoting cross-divisional collaboration when commercially relevant. Your focus includes resource productivity, efficient cost structure, and continuous portfolio development, all while ensuring integrity, safety, and a culture of performance.

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Creating, planning, and implementing the marketing and sales mission, vision, and strategy, along with the budget and efficiency targets for the assigned area.
  • Leading the definition of the assigned division and area footprint (market presence, execution standards, and delivery model).
  • Being and acting as local employer of the local divisions team, Builds, leads and develops a high-performing team(s) and organization. Develops talents and manages successfully people capabilities and strategies.
  • Defines sales objectives for the team and drives the team to achieve the targets, leveraging Sales Incentive plans that represent clear local accountability for each of the defined business lines
  • Drive top-line growth via new customer acquisition and increased share of wallet. Drives and implements the initiative in the Sales unit, including Account Development.

Qualifications for the role

  • Minimum 10 years' experience in sales and running a front-end sales operation, and demonstrating a profitable growth record, Ability to lead sizable and diverse teams.
  • Degree in Engineering preferably Electrical Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Strong commercial acumen, market knowledge and sharp business development skills and ability to lead business transformations.
  • Leadership skills with a growth mindset: developing teams, developing teams and strategic capabilities, fostering cross-division collaboration, and promoting accountability.
  • Track record of delivering business results in matrixed, multinational environments, go-to-market strategy and organizational development
  • Demonstrated leadership, talent management, and change management capabilities.
