We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Desktop Engineer to provide Level 2 (L2) support for end-user devices and IT systems. The ideal candidate will have strong technical troubleshooting skills, experience in IT service management (ITSM) environments, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively to resolve complex issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide L2 support for desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and other IT equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve escalated incidents from Level 1 support, both remotely and onsite.
- Perform software installations, upgrades, patches, and configurations.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and group policies in Active Directory.
- Support and troubleshoot Microsoft 365 applications and services (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint).
- Handle OS imaging and deployments using tools such as SCCM or Microsoft Intune.
- Respond to incidents and service requests via ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow).
- Maintain and update technical documentation, asset inventories, and user guides.
- Collaborate with IT infrastructure, network, and security teams for advanced issue resolution.
- Provide support during system rollouts, hardware refreshes, upgrades, and migrations.
- Ensure compliance with ITIL best practices and organizational security policies.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in desktop support, end-user support, or similar roles.
- Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365 suite, and basic networking concepts.
- Familiarity with the ITIL framework and working in ITSM environments.
- Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft MCP/MCSA, ITIL Foundation) are an advantage.
