About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the team at HOYI SYSTEM PTE. LTD. as a full-time Quantity Surveyor based in the Woodlands North Region. As Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the financial aspects of construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.

What you'll be doing

  • Preparing detailed cost estimates and budgets for construction projects
  • Monitoring and controlling project costs throughout the construction process
  • Negotiating and administering contracts with subcontractors and suppliers
  • Preparing progress claims, valuations and final accounts
  • Providing financial advice and recommendations to project managers
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations and industry standards
  • Collaborating with the wider project team to deliver successful outcomes
  • Prepare quantity estimates for tender submissions and attend tender briefings and interviews.
  • Capable of supporting site works alongside the Project Manager, with the ability to handle both site activities and tender quantity take-offs when required.

What we're looking for

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials and cost control processes
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in the use of quantity surveying software and tools
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
