Regional Corporate Accountant (Retail Group/SAP Hana)

Hudson is partnering with a well-established international retail group to appoint a Corporate Accountant based in Singapore. This is a hands-on, stand-alone role supporting the Group CFO and working closely with finance teams across Singapore, Thailand, and Cambodia.

The position is ideal for an experienced accounting professional who enjoys full ownership, is comfortable working independently, and thrives in a dynamic, multi-entity environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting & Consolidation

  • Manage full sets of accounts for a portfolio of regional entities.
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Prepare company-level and group-level financial statements, including a simple annual consolidation (3 entities).
  • Support statutory audits, regulatory filings, and liaise with external auditors and advisers.

Budgeting, Forecasting & Performance Management

  • Lead budgeting and forecasting cycles for the Singapore entity and selected overseas entities.
  • Partner with functional heads to drive accountability for budgets, spending efficiency, and performance insights.
  • Monitor daily cash balances and forecast cash flow requirements for management review.

Corporate MIS & Payroll Support

  • Oversee MIS budget management across multiple countries, working closely with procurement and finance teams.
  • Review monthly spending reports and act as a key signatory on MIS procurement matters.
  • Support payroll planning for Thailand and Cambodia, and review monthly payroll files before posting into SAP.

Tax, Compliance & Policies

  • Coordinate with local CPAs and tax advisers to ensure accurate and timely tax compliance across jurisdictions.
  • Maintain corporate documents and support company secretarial matters such as board resolutions and filings.
  • Uphold and maintain group accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.

Business Partnering & Administrative Support

  • Act as the coordination point between Singapore and Thailand offices.
  • Handle selected administrative tasks such as preparing documents for shareholders.
  • Provide ad-hoc support to the CFO and senior leadership.

Requirements

  • Degree in Accounting or equivalent qualification.
  • 5–8 years of relevant accounting experience, ideally with exposure to regional entities.
  • Strong working knowledge of SAP Hana (advanced user level required).
  • Experience in retail or FMCG environments is an advantage but not mandatory.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Independent, hands-on, organised, and able to manage deadlines across multiple markets.
  • Effective communicator with the ability to engage stakeholders at different levels.
