Multimodal Freight Operations Officer

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- To perform the full scope of operations roles for Multimodal Freight services, not restricted to quotes, rates negotiation with carriers/liners/agents, cargo reservation, shipment confirmation, collection/delivery, shipment execution, permit declarations, cargo transfers, pre-alerts, and billings.
- To coordinate with co-loaders, support export/import/cross trade shipments and updating of shipping status.
- To ensure all dangerous goods handling and live animals handling are according to SOP and IATA regulations.
- To ensure all air/sea freight shipment (pick up & deliveries) are performed according to SOP and provide timely updates and constant support to customers.
- To ensure the office and warehouse premises are secured at all times.
- To attend to all phone calls and emails promptly.
- To deliver proactive and efficient service level for all shipments.
- To secure all company's property, information, safeguard goods and customers' data at all times.
- To work closely with Sales team to identify potential business opportunities for new businesses.
- To rotate standby duties for after office hours emergency calls.
- To carry out any other duties as may be expected in a post of this level.
Requirements
- Min 1 years work experience in freight forwarding
- Class 3 driving license (preferred, but not required)
- Class 4 driving license (preferred, but not required)
- Forklift Cert (preferred, but not required)
- Willing to learn
