Singapore Factory Mutual Insurance Company Full time $90,000 - $120,000 per year

The incumbent will serve as the regional contact and interface on a regular basis with local prospects, clients, brokers and World Reach Partners (WRPs) in Asia, on identified accounts including insurance products and services. The incumbent should be able to effectively articulate FM's business model and provide guidance on the full range of both FM and Global Services (GS) capabilities in supporting global programmes.

Under the direction and working closely with the Global Services Manager – Asia Pacific, the key responsibilities are:

  • execute the Global Services (GS) component of the strategic plan;
  • provide local, on the ground problem resolution;
  • act as the GS regional focal point for Host account teams;
  • develop and seek out key/influential regional executive relationships in our client organizations;
  • work closely In conjunction with Account Engineers, to establish risk improvement priorities and support efforts to obtain customer buy-in with loss prevention recommendations;
  • continue to update knowledge of underwriting guidelines, policy forms, loss prevention practices, and insurance industry developments;
  • Demonstrate leadership qualities and the required capabilities to execute complex transactional and strategic activities;
  • ensure policies issued by FM local Branches and WRPs accurately reflect both the insured's, FM's intent of coverage and improve contract certainty delivery timelines;
  • provide professional advice and consultation to all customers, prospects and host operations personnel on insurance coverage and risk management matters within the FM licensed and WRP territories within Asia;
  • manage the overall communication and execute transactional activities with assigned WRPs on aspects related to the effective operation of the network;
  • support client growth through acquisition and engaging in prospect activity on opportunities generated by FM Operations;
  • liaise with all other departments of FM including staff underwriting, legal and claims to ensure that appropriate contact and interaction with WRPs is established and maintained;
    work with WRPs, Brokers and local regulators to understand the regulatory requirements of that country.

Position Requirements:

  • university degree or equivalent with a recognized professional qualification;
  • at least 5 years of property loss prevention and/or claims and/or underwriting experience desired but not required;
  • external relationship experience (e.g. client/broker/insurer/reinsurer) desired but not required;
  • experience dealing with an international service and distribution network and property insurance/reinsurance industry would be an added advantage;
  • excellent verbal, written and presentation skills in English;
  • good verbal and written skills in Thai will be preferred as the incumbent needs to service the Thai market;
  • strong communication skills to work with internal stakeholders and external clients to drive regional/national execution of the client service strategy;
  • excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
