YOUR DAY-TO-DAY

Team Management:

  • Supervise and train host/hostess staff.
  • Assign duties and responsibilities to the team members.
  • Conduct regular meetings to communicate updates, changes, and expectations.

Reservations:

  • Manage reservation systems efficiently.
  • Coordinate with the kitchen and floor staff to ensure smooth service during peak hours.
  • Confirm reservations and communicate special requests to the appropriate departments.

Guest Services:

  • Greet guests with a warm and friendly demeanor.
  • Assist guests in making reservations and provide information about the menu, specials, and promotions.
  • Ensure prompt and efficient seating of guests.
  • Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and special requests.

Seating Arrangements:

  • Organize and manage the seating chart.
  • Monitor and maintain an efficient table-turnover rate.
  • Ensure proper communication with servers to manage the flow of the dining room.

Communication:

  • Liaise with kitchen and waitstaff to manage table rotations and ensure timely service.
  • Communicate with management regarding any issues or challenges in the front-of-house operations.

Quality Assurance:

  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization in the reception area.
  • Monitor the overall dining room ambiance and address any issues promptly.
  • Assist in developing and implementing policies and procedures to enhance guest satisfaction.

Special Events:

  • Coordinate and manage special events, private parties, and large reservations.
  • Work with the events team to ensure seamless execution of special occasions.

What we need from you

  • High School or Vocational Certificate in Hotel Management, Food & Beverage, or related field
  • 1 year of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Obtained alcohol awareness certification and/or food service permit or valid health/food handler card as required by local government agency
  • Able to read and write English
