Chief Technology Officer

Overview

We are seeking an exceptionally committed and technically versatile Chief Technology Officer to lead the company's complex and evolving technology landscape. The role requires deep hands-on expertise in both information technology and business, strategic insight, and the ability to operate in a global organisation across multiple time zones and locations.

Job Scope

Technology Strategy

• Provide strategic guidance on technology architecture, infrastructure, and digital transformation initiatives.
• Advise on long-term technology planning aligned with aggressive business growth targets.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and assess their applicability to high-stakes enterprise environments.

Technical Execution and Oversight

• Lead and support implementation of enterprise-grade systems, with the ability to implement these systems within given deadlines and with minimal margin for error.
• Engage directly with the various divisions and their teams to troubleshoot and optimise performance across distributed environments.
• Foster a culture of urgency, accountability, and technical precision.

Infrastructure Management

• Personally oversee and resolve issues related to physical IT infrastructure, including PCs, networking hardware, and other devices across multiple office locations.
• Ensure 24/7 uptime and rapid scalability with minimal reliance on external vendors. Be available to address hardware and infrastructure issues and ensure prompt resolution of said issues.

Risk Management

• Identify and mitigate technology-related risks, including cybersecurity threats, compliance issues, and operational vulnerabilities.
• Ensure adherence to global regulatory standards across all platforms and services.

Artificial Intelligence

• Spearhead the development, deployment, and monetisation of autonomous AI agents for enterprise clients in collaboration with a US-based partner specialising in agentic AI technologies.
• Lead initiatives to enhance internal business processes using advanced AI systems capable of autonomous decision-making, secure data handling, and multi-agent coordination.
• Maintain strict compliance with ethical AI standards, data governance protocols, and enterprise-grade security requirements.

Website Development

• Must possess hands-on experience in website development, including front-end and back-end architecture, security, and performance optimisation.
• Capable of building, maintaining, and troubleshooting enterprise-grade websites and web applications.
• Expected to manage web infrastructure and ensure seamless integration with internal systems and external platforms.

Marketing and Business Development

• Actively contribute to the growth of the company by identifying new business opportunities, partnerships, and service offerings.
• Support the company's broader business development efforts by leveraging technical expertise and business acumen to actively support sales and marketing activities across the organisation.
• Collaborate with other leadership to position the company's technology capabilities in competitive markets, including the US, Europe, Asia, and Singapore.
• Expected to take initiative in promoting internal and external technology solutions.

Global Coordination

• Demonstrated experience supporting technology operations across the US, Europe, Asia, and Singapore.
• Ability to coordinate with international teams across different time zones, potentially requiring late-night or early-morning availability.

Requirements

• Proven experience in senior IT consulting or technology advisory roles, ideally in fast-paced and demanding environments.
• Demonstrated expertise in AI technologies (particularly with Agentic AI) and enterprise-scale deployments of such AI technologies.
• Hands-on experience in website development and web infrastructure management.
• Experience with managing and deploying physical IT infrastructure at an enterprise level across multiple office locations.
• Track record in marketing and business development, with the ability to translate technical capabilities into commercial opportunities and support business growth across global markets.
• Willingness to work extended hours when needed, including weekends, to support global operations - especially across Singapore and US time zones.
• Able to travel regularly to our Papua New Guinea office as and when required to oversee IT infrastructure and operations.
• Excellent written and spoken English is essential; native-level fluency is strongly preferred.
• A strong academic foundation with formal qualifications in both business management and information technology is critical for this role.
