Senior Food Technologist – Dairy & Frozen Dessert Applications

Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Food Technologist to lead the development and application of ingredient solutions in dairy and frozen dessert categories . This role will focus on optimizing formulations using stabilizers and emulsifiers to meet customer needs and market trends, while providing strong technical support both internally and externally.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive the end-to-end development of dairy and frozen dessert product solutions that align with customer requirements and market trends.
  • Provide timely, hands-on technical support to commercial teams and customers, especially in the application of stabilizers, emulsifiers, and other key functional ingredients.
  • Conduct R&D work to improve existing formulations and innovate new applications tailored to client projects.
  • Maintain deep understanding of formulation components, including ingredient functionality and performance in various processing conditions.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues related to ingredients, processing challenges, finished product performance, and early-stage scale-up.
  • Execute lab-based trials and product development work across a wide range of dairy and frozen dessert formats.
  • Apply food science principles to analyze product texture, stability, and shelf life.
  • Lead technical support initiatives and contribute to value-added solutions for key customer projects.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in food applications, with a focus on dairy and frozen desserts.
  • Proven expertise in the use and function of stabilizers and emulsifiers.
  • Experience working with UHT systems and continuous freezers is a strong advantage.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders effectively.

Preferred Knowledge & Technical Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of dairy and frozen dessert formulations and process requirements
  • Hands-on experience with hydrocolloid systems (stabilizers, emulsifiers, etc.)
  • Familiarity with pilot-scale processing equipment, especially UHT systems and continuous freezing linesStrong analytical skills for sensory and shelf-life evaluation
