Responsibilities

  • Support the Finance Business Partner in ensuring the smooth running of the School's financial activities.

  • Address and resolve queries on travel requests, expense claims, and ensure compliance with NTU travel policies.

  • Assist with general expense claims, including FYP claims, student travel, consultancy, research-related expenditures, and student club activities.

  • Facilitate procurement processes, including non-PO payments, verifying requests, tracking expenses, and performing goods receipt.

  • Verify equipment usage charging forms and ensure proper authorisation and cost recovery.

  • Update finance guidelines, checklists, procedures, and manage shared finance files for staff access.

  • Compile supporting documents for research reimbursement, monitor financial reports, generate SAP statements, and assist with asset management.

  • Assist in budget planning, allocation, utilisation tracking, journal reclassifications, and budget variation requests.

  • Collaborate with various stakeholders to maintain up-to-date financial records and provide guidance on financial processes and policies.

Requirements

  • Diploma or equivalent qualification in Accounting, Finance, or Business.

  • At least 5 years of relevant Accounting/Finance experience; experience in Institutes of Higher Learning (IHLs) is an advantage.

  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel); knowledge of SAP S4 Hana and ARIBA is an added advantage.

  • Good interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Able to work independently as well as within a team.

  • Service-oriented with a positive attitude.
