Job Title: Functional SME / Business Analyst – Core Banking

Location: Singapore

Employment Type: Full-Time / Permanent / Contract

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Functional SME / Business Analyst with strong expertise in Core Banking systems to work closely with business users, technology teams, and external vendors. The candidate will be responsible for gathering business requirements, performing system analysis, and ensuring successful delivery of core banking enhancements, integrations, and transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Core Banking modules such as Deposits, Loans, Payments, Trade Finance, Treasury, and GL.
  • Liaise with business stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document requirements for system enhancements and new initiatives.
  • Prepare Business Requirement Documents (BRD), Functional Specifications (FSD), and Use Cases/User Stories.
  • Work with technical teams to translate business needs into technical requirements and support solution design.
  • Conduct gap analysis and impact assessment for system changes.
  • Coordinate UAT (User Acceptance Testing) — define test cases, validate results, and manage issue resolution.
  • Support core banking transformation or upgrade projects (e.g., Temenos T24, Finacle, Flexcube, Mambu, or equivalent systems).
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and risk management requirements in all deliverables.
  • Provide post-implementation support and assist in production issue analysis.

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Banking, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 8–12 years of experience as a Business Analyst / SME in Core Banking projects.
  • Strong understanding of banking operations, processes, and products (Retail, Corporate, or Wealth).
  • Experience with Core Banking platforms such as Temenos T24, Oracle Flexcube, Finacle, FIS, or Mambu.
  • Proven track record in requirement gathering, functional analysis, and stakeholder management.
  • Familiar with Agile and Waterfall project methodologies.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and presentation skills.
  • Prior experience working with banks or financial institutions in Singapore / APAC region preferred.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in Digital Banking, Open Banking APIs, or Payments (SWIFT, FAST, PayNow) integration.
  • Exposure to regulatory reporting or MAS compliance projects.
  • Certification in CBAP, Agile BA, or PMP.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $4, $11,592.42 per month
