Job Summary:

The Purchasing Manager oversees the procurement of goods and services to ensure the company maintains optimal inventory levels, quality standards, and cost-efficiency. This role leads the procurement team, develops sourcing strategies, negotiates with suppliers, and ensures compliance with company policies and budgets. The Purchasing Manager plays a key role in supplier relationship management, cost control, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with company objectives.
  • Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best quality and price.
  • Manage purchase orders, contracts, and supplier agreements.
  • Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with operations to avoid shortages or overstock.
  • Conduct regular supplier performance evaluations and maintain strong vendor relationships.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical standards, and statutory regulations.
  • Lead and mentor the procurement team to enhance skills and efficiency.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend process improvements.
  • Prepare reports on procurement activities, spend analysis, and market trends.

Requirements / Qualifications:

  • Degree or diploma in Supply Chain, Business, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of procurement/purchasing experience, preferably in a managerial role.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • Knowledge of inventory management, procurement software, and sourcing strategies.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities.
