[What the role is]

The Building and Construction Authority (BCA) champions the development of a future ready built environment for Singapore. Besides regulating building safety, we lead and transform the built environment sector in delivering a safe, high quality, sustainable and friendly built environment.

We are looking for resourceful, energetic and self-motivated individuals who are inspired to play an active role to make a difference to Singapore's built environment.

[What you will be working on]

  • You will process Civil and Structural (C&S)/ Mechanical engineering CD plans of Civil Defence shelters in MRT stations and Public Shelters submitted by consultants, conduct regulatory off-site and on-site inspections during construction, as well as to witness and assess shelter commissioning tests.

  • In addition, you will provide CD specialist engineering advice to other agencies on shelter matters.

  • Conduct deep-dive engineering and technical studies

  • Carry out in-depth process improvement studies using development of tech and digital solutions

[What we are looking for]

Requirements

  • Trained in Civil & Structural/ Mechanical Engineering.

  • Good understanding of local Authority codes and regulations

  • Min. 2 to 5 years of Civil & Structural engineering design and site supervision experience in building engineering works.

  • Ability to work independently, good team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Candidates preparing for registration with the PEB (passing FEE and/or PPE would be an advantage).
