Reporting to General Manager, Sales, or such other persons as may be notified to you by the Company from time to time. Subject to the Company’s right to vary your duties, at the date of commencement of the appointed role as Manager, Commercial & Project Operations, the position is responsible (1) for supporting the project team including Project Director and Project Manager in the APAC Region to smoothly execute the project with the overall goal to achieve pre‐determined order objectives on an annual basis as a commercial specialist with coordination skill. (2) supporting the sales team in the APAC Region from Opportunity Development through to contract signing and Notice to Proceed.
Provides the bridge among the Project Teams, Sales Team, and Sales & Engineering in HQ to develop opportunities, support the closure of orders and support localized execution of projects. Emphasis will be placed on maximizing orders closure and execution success on targeted accounts & technologies, as well as developing the growth of the Service and Sales business to maximize corporate profitability.
**Responsibilities**
- Handle commercial matters as a commercial point of contact together with on-site project team and Japan commercial team during project implementation (Window for customer and coordinator).
- Work closely with on-site project team to assure customers expectations are exceeded (on-site as required).
- Support Project Directors and Japan HQ Business Groups identifying and reviewing local labor providers / subcontractors to ensure cost effective and qualified staffing of APAC projects.
- Hands on support of projects as required.
- Support technical clarifications with customers.
- Well prepared coordination among customers, consortium partners and internal project team is required.
- Act as commercial point of contact with clients to support, negotiate and close orders.
Create pricing market level historical database on all products/services for future proposals.
- Any other tasks assigned by the General Manager and the Company from time to time.
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Global Studies or equivalent as well as strong familiarity with international business negotiations and cross-cultural communication.
- More than 6 years’ experience in technical sales and services, operations field
- Self-motivated, positive, and enthusiastic, with initiative and drive, and a strong sense of urgency in solving problems.
- Good communication both verbal and in writing, facilitation, and interpersonal skills with client-facing experience.
- Customer focused and ability to establish good working relationship.
- Strong intellect and business acumen with technical skills and knowledge, with a good understanding of cultural nuances.
- Good Operations and Project Management Skills to ensure project is completed on time within budget, contractual and safety standards.
- Hands-on technical support skills in power plants or industrial plants equipment is preferable.
- Self-motivated and have a methodical approach with attention to details.
- Detail-oriented and meticulous.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to quickly assess, prioritizes work requests and meet deadlines.
Analytical and problem-solving skill.
**Knowledge and Skills**
- Experience about Power Business and products including Competitors, that encompass of working knowledge of parts, repairs, and maintenance services.
- Knowledge of local laws and regulations.
- Updated on market trends.
- Excellent Japanese Language skills (JLPT N1 or equivalent level) in both business writings & speaking to coordinate & communicate precise information with Japanese stakeholders in the APAC region / counterparts in Japan HQ.
- Ability to travel overseas (according to safe new norms) as and when required based on business needs.
