Based in Singapore, reporting to Subtitle Operations Manager, the Subtitle Operations Specialist role will support the team to ensure timely availability of quality subtitles through close collaboration with volunteer community, content partners and internal stakeholders.

**About the Subtitle Operations Team**:
The Subtitle Operations Team oversees the end-to-end operations of subtitling creation by volunteer translators, paid contractors, subtitling agencies. Viki has a wonderful community of volunteers who have been translating video contents and enabling our mission of bringing Asian content to the world.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Project-manage subtitle delivery to meet Viki’s content launch schedule
- Work with teams to develop and execute optimal subtitling strategy
- Manage video, subtitle and scripts delivery for volunteer subtitling teams, contractors and vendors
- Address and solve subtitle-related issues that impact viewing experience, e.g. out-of-sync subtitles, overlapping segments, short display time
- Prepare subtitle assets for syndication according to partners’ specifications
- Partner with all cross-functional teams in Content Ops, Product, Engineering, Community Management, Customer Experience, and UX for continual process improvements
- Handle ad-hoc tasks assigned by Content & Subtitle Operations

**Requirements**:

- 2 years of hands-on experience in subtitle-related operations
- Strong understanding of OTT business and subtitle operations
- Excellent English reading skills, spelling/vocabulary and grammar
- Experience with any type of subtitle editing software
- Knowledgeable around various types of subtitle formats and an ability to edit, transform, sync subtitles.
