Job Description Summary
The regional manager brings a combination of deep knowledge in valuations and managerial expertise. He/she is part of the Leadership Team where there is involvement in decision making. The Manager is a strategic thinker and can solve problems using tactical solutions.
Based in the APAC region, the Manager is responsible for managing local teams for the Evaluated Pricing Operations group. Responsibilities include executing on global strategic requirements to meet Company's goals. The manager ensures that local team leaders deliver on operational excellence and outstanding customer support experience.
As a member of the Evaluated Pricing Operations leadership team, the Manager is involved with all facets of the evaluation service. This includes product delivery, budgeting, recruitment, business continuity planning, and compliance.
The Manager will work closely with major internal stakeholders including Fixed Income Asset Class Leads, Evaluators, Analysts to develop and maintain an operations center that enables the business to offer scale and quality to global customers.
The manager represents the business locally and performs various managerial activities such as;
- Embraces and promotes operational excellence
- Oversees the daily creation of evaluations of securities
- Manages the coverage, accuracy, and quality control of final evaluations delivered to customers
- Ensures professional customer service especially through the price challenge process, price coverage requests and client notifications (e.g., industry developments, market news, significant events)
- Hires, trains, and manages professionals dedicated to the respective asset class including evaluators, credit analysts, and market analysts
- Develops enhancements to pricing model, methodology documentation and product displays
- Collaborates with all internal stakeholders concerning tactical and strategic issues
- Liaises with third-party vendors on all coverage and quality initiatives.
- Sources market color (e.g., quotes, trades, feeds) contributions
- Provides commercial support to sales specialists and account managers including sales calls and due diligence meetings
- Covers industry regulations and trade association developments impacting evaluations
Required Skills and Education
- Relevant leadership or managerial experience
- Extensive bond or derivative experience
- Advanced degrees and certifications including Masters’ Degree in Finance, Economics, or other related studies or CFA accreditation are helpful
- Working knowledge of fixed income analytics
- Working knowledge of desktop software including spreadsheets, databases and presentation software
