Fixed Income Trader Job Description

Job Description:

The primary role of the Fixed Income Trader is to execute the investment fund's fixed income strategy, overseeing a diverse portfolio of government bonds, corporate bonds, credit instruments, and interest rate derivatives.

Key responsibilities include trading across various fixed income markets, managing risk exposure, and contributing to portfolio performance in collaboration with the research team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing market trends, identifying trading opportunities, and implementing hedging strategies as directed by portfolio management.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Deep understanding of fixed income instruments, including government bonds, corporate bonds, MBS, ABS, and derivatives.
  • Proficiency in Bloomberg Terminal, Reuters, and other trading platforms.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative abilities, with a focus on financial modeling and data analysis.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with experience working in fast-paced environments.
