This role works closely with the Manufacturing Manager, Shop Lead, and other process stakeholders to ensure that production plans are achievable and that materials are available when needed. The Production Control Supervisor also monitors production progress and makes adjustments to the production
schedule as needed.
- Maintain the production schedule, ensuring that all products are manufactured on time and in accordance with customer specifications
- Monitor inventory levels and forecast future production needs to ensure that raw materials are available when needed
- Work closely with Purchasing to expedite deliveries of critical components and raw materials
- Coordinate with engineering, quality control, and other departments to resolve production issues in a timely manner
- Investigate and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs
- Generate reports detailing production progress and performance metrics
- Maintain accurate records of all production activities
- Assist in the development and implementation of new product launch plans
- Must have demonstrated ability to maintain production schedules and knowledge of production control and inventory control.
- Familiar with ERP/MRP systems, word processing, spreadsheets, project management, etc.
- Knowledge of forecasting methods and inventory optimization techniques
