
Logistics and Customs Specialist

The Logistics and Customs Specialist is responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing logistics and customs requirements for the shipyard. This includes managing the movement of goods (equipment, spares, components and etc.) and materials into and out of the shipyard and ensuring compliance with all applicable customs regulations.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
Coordinate with the shipbuilding team to ensure that all materials and equipment are available on time for construction.
Work with the shipyard's procurement team to negotiate contracts with suppliers and carriers.
Develop and implement new logistics and customs procedures to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
Manage the shipment and receipt of all goods and materials for the shipyard.
Coordinate with suppliers and carriers to ensure timely and efficient delivery.
Prepare and file customs documentation.
Monitor and manage customs clearance procedures.
Track and report on shipment status.
Resolve any shipping or customs issues.
Maintain and update the shipyard's logistics and customs procedures.
Minimum 3 years of experience in a logistics or customs role, preferably shipyard industry.
Knowledge of international trade regulations and procedures.
Experience with customs clearance software.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
