Software Engineer - Algorithmic Trading

Principal Responsibilities
- Build real-time algorithmic trading systems and execution platforms
- Creating new features and enhancing functionality on a mission critical platform
- Design and Implement the firms trading strategies
- Develops high quality software while meeting deadlines
- Presents ideas for system improvements
- Design or upgrade an existing software to ensure product performance and quality expectations are met
- Face off with business and help drive discussion on new features

Qualifications/Skills
- 4 +years Strong Java server-side development experience.
- Knowledge of Unix/Linux is required.
- Working experience with financial order/execution data, positions data and market data is a big plus
- Knowledge of equities, options, SOR, VWAP, algorithmic trading platforms, or market microstructure is a big plus.
- Knowledge of Kdb+/Q is a big plus.
- Knowledge in other programing language is a plus
- B.S. in Computer Science (CS) or a related field.
- Demonstrates thoroughness and strong ownership of work.
- Good team player with a strong willingness to participate and help others.
- Strong communication skills.
- Quick learner.
- Cope with pressure, fast-pace development, and changing project priorities.
