ROLE

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Project Management:
- Manage the initiative and co-ordinate across teams to ensure there is no delivery slippage
- Provide status reporting to the stakeholders
- Administer the governance forums to facilitate decision making and risk / issue resolution
- Requirements Gathering: _
- Analyses and validates requirements using a systematic, disciplined, and analytical approach to problem solving.
- Conducts impact assessment to identify the "as-is" processes, systems, and the "future" processes, systems, and structures.
- Performs data analysis to cleanse & standardize data and to ensure data consistency and quality.
- Maintains relationships with stakeholders and obtains formal signoff of all requirement documentation.
- Liaises with service providers to ensure understanding of requirements and limitations of solutions.
- Solution Assessment and Validation: _
- Works closely with the Architecture team to ensure solutions are optimal.
- Facilitates workshops sessions with internal and external stakeholders to drive out solution options and works closely with them to complete solution design documents.
- Supports functional and integration testing.
- Change Management and Implementation Support: _
- Supports Change Management activities by providing information as required to facilitate effective communications.
- Provides project support to the impacted teams during implementation phases, including answering queries, trouble shooting, liaison with service provider, providing regular reporting.
- Contributes to project management processes, including status reporting, risk, issue, change, compliance management

GENERAL CANDIDATE ATTRIBUTES:

- Has strong interpersonal skills, able to communicate effectively and proactively with external and internal stakeholders.
- Understands defined Project Management methodologies and frameworks
- Experience in working as a business analyst within the asset management or equivalent industries would be advantageous.
- Familiar with Asian local markets and regulatory practices.
- Is self-motivated, self-driving and independent.
- Attentive to detail and able to handle ambiguity.
- Experienced in using business analysis methods such as flow charting, requirements capturing, stakeholder analysis, use cases, brainstorming, solution prototyping, and traceability.

DOMAIN SPECIFIC ATTRIBUTES:

- Working knowledge in portfolio management, performance & attribution, risk modeling, pre/post trade compliance, liquidity management, trade execution and other buy side trade life cycle and monitoring processes.
- Working experience in major asset classes and their lifecycle.
- Strong foundation in buy side enterprise data model including portfolio structure, security reference data, market data, pricing, transactions & position, finance and product data.
- Experience in working with BlackRock Aladdin as a front office system will be advantageous
- Must be familiar with Middle and Back Office outsourcing arrangements
- Experienced in dealing directly with portfolio managers, dealers and operations staff

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE:

- Degree or Post-grad Qualification
- Business Analyst Certified
- Essential 3-5 yrs Financial Services BA experience (asset management desirable)
- Fluency in both written and spoken English
