We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a **Programme Manager.**

**Principal Responsibilities**

The Programme Manager is a key member of the country Transformation Services team under the Chief Operating Officer. This role is responsible for overseeing and driving large-scale, enterprise-wide transformation initiatives within the Bank's portfolio, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and enhancing the Bank’s transformation delivery capabilities. The Programme Manager will lead the development and implementation of innovative strategies, work with stakeholders to identify and implement process improvements, and ensure successful delivery of transformation programmes.

Programme Management:

- Take comprehensive ownership of the entire programme lifecycle, from strategic initiation to delivery, in partnership with relevant business units and functions
- Develop, execute, and oversee programme plans that incorporate multiple interconnected projects, ensuring alignment with overarching business goals
- Manage resources effectively, balancing scope, schedule, interdependencies, and budget, while proactively mitigating risks and resolving issues throughout the programme lifecycle

Strategic Leadership and Innovation:

- Source and lead the development of strategies that integrate industry-leading practices to elevate the Bank’s transformation delivery capabilities
- Drive innovation by identifying emerging trends and opportunities for continuous improvement and transformation within the Bank

Cross-Functional Team Leadership:

- Lead and promote a culture of collaboration and accountability across cross-functional teams, fostering an inclusive environment to achieve ambitious programme goals
- Mentor and guide project managers and team members, ensuring alignment with programme objectives and providing support for professional development

Stakeholder Management:

- Communicate effectively with senior leadership and a diverse group of stakeholders to gain buy-in and support for proposed changes
- Deliver high-touch stakeholder engagement, managing relationships and resolving conflicts to ensure programme success
- Ensure delivery of programmes within defined scopes, budgets, and timelines, maintaining transparency and accountability

Process Improvement and Reengineering:

- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify areas for process improvements and lead associated reengineering initiatives
- Implement best practices and methodologies to drive efficiencies and optimise programme outcomes
Requirements- Extensive experience in programme management, preferably within financial institutions or similar industries
- Proven track record in leading large-scale, complex transformation programmes with successful delivery outcomes
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate and influence in a matrixed organisational environment
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders and diverse teams
- Demonstrated experience in resource management, budget oversight, and risk mitigation for programmes
- Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, and other relevant project management methodologies; industry accreditation (e.g., PMP, PgMP, MSP) is preferred
- Ability to foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, leveraging data and analytics to drive decision-making
- High level of adaptability and intellectual curiosity, with a commitment to staying abreast of industry trends and advancements
