**About us**

Our new Commercial Services & Digital (CS&D) team will streamline and guide how we invest in and harness technology for Commercial. This team will modernise and digitise our manual processes, addressing pain points for employees and focus on initiatives for improving customer experiences. We see Commercial Services as the engine room with their focus on post deal tasks such as invoicing, trade finance, shipping and laytime. **About the role**

We are looking for an
**Invoicing Officer** to perform the Contract to Cash (CTC) activities plus support the development of KPIs and analytics.

The Bulk Pacific Commercial Services team is responsible for all revenue and expense accounting functions for iron ore, salt, bauxite and alumina sales. This includes ensuring that appropriate credit risk mitigation tools are in place, appropriate shipping related documents are produced, and that commercial invoices and other documents are produced to banks/customers in a timely, accurate manner to ensure maximisation of cash flow.

This role is a great opportunity for a professional who is eager to progress into a role with end-to-end accountability and responsibility for our CTC process and have the experience in supporting the development of new KPIs, system enhancements and process automations. This role requires an experienced professional with trade finance ops and overall CTC process background. Working within the Commercial Services Team and reporting to the Supervisor - Invoicing (Bulk Pacific), you will be:
**Key Accountabilities**:

- Source and report on operational invoicing matters
- Maintain relevant sales databases in relations to invoicing
- Analyse and report on invoicing payments schedules against sales objectives
- Provide input to standard cyclical reports (weekly and monthly).
- Support business process and automation improvements to effectively and efficiently deliver customer service solutions to the business
- Support compliance with Rio Tinto policies in the area of invoicing for IO, B&A, Salt & other Bulk Materials
- Manage individual knowledge levels, identifying areas for growth and development.
- Working closely with multiple stakeholders to improve level of services and processes to meet the business requirements maintaining a positive relationship.

**Activities & Tasks**:

- Generate invoice payments and monitor shipment execution, ensure cash collections for the business units are met timely
- Execute and run reports and procedures required for month end activities
- Follow-up on AR/AP positions and payment schedules
- Support Data Analysis/Reporting activities
- Execute and run reports and procedures required for month end activities
- Assisting with audit and financial queries, when required.
- Support SAP projects and enhancements for CTC process
- Support improvements initiatives with focus on quick-win automations aiming at enhancing efficiency
- Maintain management reporting - keeping team reports up-to-date from both functional and data perspective and maintaining internal databases and systems.

**What you will need for the role**

**To be successfully considered for this role, you will have**:

- A Bachelor Degree/Diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in Commodity Industry is desirable
- Shipping knowledge
- UCP 600 and Incoterms
- Supply chain knowledge
- International trade documentation
- Good command of English language
- Ability to work well with various stakeholders and be a team player

**It will also be beneficial if you have**:

- Prior experience in business improvement projects
- The ability to comprehend business needs, convert them into requirements, develop and execute an implementation plan.
- Proven ability to generate high quality reports and dashboard
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Advanced Excel skills including VBA
- Power BI experience
