PortNav Marine Agencies Pte. Ltd. is a young & growing port agency in Singapore.

To further strengthen our team we are looking for an accountant.

**KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
**Reporting**
- Preparation of P&L and balance sheet
- To ensure all accounts and XBRL are prepared and submitted to ACRA in prescribed timeline
- Preparation of weekly/monthly/annual reports as required by the management.
- Preparation of budgets and forecasts.

**Accounting**
- Full set of accounting - updating and maintenance of AP/AR/general ledger/daily transactions
- Monthly closing
- Responsible for processing invoicing - revenue and cost accounting and payment / receipt processes
- Daily transactional entry of accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP) in the accounting software
- Daily processing of all shipping bank transactions and posting entries in system and monthly bank reconciliations
- Responsible for monthly and ad-hoc billings
- Online Bank payments
- Preparation and billing of invoices
- Checking and verifying of incoming invoices
- Perform daily accounting & finance duties including receivable and payables processes, general ledger, tax, and bank reconciliation, etc.
- Checking the suppliers’ invoice and update in the payment list.
- Timely and accurately update the transactions (income/ expense) in cash book.
- Arrange the soft / hard copies filing on time.
- Arrange the documents sending to third parties (banks, corporate secretary, tax agent, government authority).
- Accurate and timely data entry to accounting system and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
- Liaise with internal and external parties (such as auditor, corporate secretary, tax agent and suppliers) as and support in audit and tax queries.
- Assist and prepare monthly quarterly financial report and closing accounts
- Manage timely closing process and reconciliations, including intercompany transaction.
- Any ad-hoc duties as assigned by the superior and management
- Administrative tasks incl. potentially basic HR tasks

**REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB**

**Qualifications and Experience**
- Accountancy qualification with at least 2 years work experience in accounting. Shipping/Marine company experience is a plus.

**Knowledge and Skills**
- Must be able to do manual reporting (Partially automated)
- Familiar with International Financial Reporting Standards
- Strong working knowledge of Excel and Word
- Experience with an accounting system (SAP) is preferred
- Industry experience in Shipping is preferred but not a prerequisite
