**Summary Role**:
Maxeon is seeking a world-class Advanced Energy Solutions Engineer based in Singapore. It is expected that most of this work will be carried out at a new state-of-the-art Maxeon RD&D Laboratory to be created in Singapore. Job responsibilities include research and development of new solar technology that pushes the limit of efficiency at lower cost, working closely with Maxeon’s renowned US based R&D team, and supporting existing teams in deploying and optimizing solar technology at Maxeon’s factories. This work is expected to include both cell and module technology development for Maxeon’s advanced product portfolio. The goal of these activities is to support Maxeon’s business objectives, including market expansion, with targeted advanced technology.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work closely with European based product management and beyond the panel development team to develop strategic partnerships and technical guidance on qualifying Module Level Power Electronics (MLPE) and Storage vendors
- Provide input on new energy management products, develop Internet of Things (IOT) solutions, and Artificial Intelligence (AI) models
- Work closely with peers to design, build, and manage evaluation test center in Singapore, collaborate with third party labs, and be able to provide technical evaluations of vendor qualification programs and results
- Work closely with peers to testify residential renewable energy solution in terms of functionality, performance, data monitoring and analysis
- Work closely with peers to develop digital twin solutions by building up physical and data-driven models, as a foundation of developing Software as-a-service and Energy as-service
- Optimize PV module designs for new and emerging market opportunities in residential renewable energy solutions
- Participate to technical due diligence on power electronic devices, and storage products as well as energy management and IOT solutions
- Deliver significant innovation that enhances Maxeon’s performance advantage, while reducing manufacturing cost and capital cost
- Develop company technology and product goals, plan technology projects and deliver these goals using the Maxeon business processes
- Proven success evaluating new products/features in high-growth environments
- Work closely with Maxeon organizations outside of the Singapore location including module manufacturing sites in Mexico and Malaysia
- Ensure that your project milestones and deliverables are met, delivered on time, and adhere to approved budgets
- Provide excellent communication within Maxeon to facilitate tracking and coordinating technology and product development goals and milestones
- Participate to expert committee relative on MLPE and Storage products
- Benchmark existent & future technology

RELATED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

**Minimum Qualifications**:

- PhD degree in electrical engineering, computer science or physics with at least 8 years relevant R&D experience or equivalent
- Excellent knowledge of Inverters, Energy Storage, Energy Management products, Internet of Things (IoT) solutions and Artificial-Intelligence (AI) models
- Demonstrate strong technical knowledge and the ability to solve cross-disciplinary problems
- Able to work in a lab environment, design and execute experiments, collect and analyze data, and report experimental results
- Quick learner, independent, able to work and deliver results with minimum supervision
- Willing to travel in Asia, Europe, and US up to 15% of the time to visit vendors and installations
- Good understanding of people and project management principles
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred requirements
- UI/UX developing experience
- Matlab, Simulink experience
- PV technology R&D breadth encompassing module technology at an advanced level
- Extensive experience with highly accelerated life tests such as damp heat, thermal cycling, vibration/shock, UV exposure, and lifetime modeling
- Electrical and thermal FEA experience
- Firmware programming experience and ability to analyze code
- Good programing and modelling experience (e.g. Excel, Python, C++, JMP, R, etc), testing platform (Labview, Phidgets, Arduino, Raspberry Pi, etc)
