About the job:
The Red Hat Consulting team is looking for a Resource Manager to join us in Singapore. In this role, your primary responsibility will be to ensure that Red Hat Consulting projects across APAC and in selected Sub-Regions are resourced with suitably skilled and experienced consultants and in a timely manner, including internal Red Hat’s associates and external partner/contractor resources. As a Resource Manager, you will onboard the external associates, so that they may efficiently and effectively work under a subcontractor or partner agreement with Red Hat.

What you will do:

- Work with the consulting and project managers within APAC Regions to prioritize and implement resourcing to maximize their utilization.
- Work with other resourcing managers globally to secure additional skills as needed for projects in APAC.
- Work with Red Hat’s partners and registered subcontractor agencies to secure resources for projects across APAC
- Escalate all resourcing shortfalls to Regional Services Managers (RSMs) or Service Delivery Managers (SDMs) in a timely manner.
- Perform skills mapping exercises for individual associate development and organizational capacity planning.
- Develop resource staffing strategies for Red Hat Consulting in APAC
- Work with the APAC Ecosystem Partner team to identify and develop potential service delivery partners.
- Establish reporting requirements and key performance indicators for resource management.
- Develop measures to define progress and success for resource management.
- Review project backlog, forecast and pipeline to develop forward looking resource plans.
- Collaborate closely with RSMs/SDMs/PMs to drive proactive project scheduling using the standard RH processes and tools.
- Support the APAC Regions to perform accurate weekly Revenue forecasting and ensure that scheduling/assignments are accurate/updated to deliver optimal revenue each for each reporting period.
- Support the APAC Regions to manage our Preferred Service Partner (PSP) network and ensure contracts are maintained and business reviews undertaken with the PSP on a regular basis.

What you will bring:

- Ability to review/analyze project plan data and resource data to support the business leaders in understanding gaps and opportunities.
- Data driven analysis skills from backlog and pipeline data to inform the business on capability gaps to meet business and customer needs.
- Review both direct and indirect PSP-based resource capability and identify skills gaps to meet near to mid-term delivery needs.
- Guide skills base assessments and enablement plans in collaboration with SDMs and the Global Partner and Technical Enablement (GPTE) team.
- Guide professional services automation (PSA) scheduling excellence and accuracy
- Provide forecast accuracy for revenue and general management based on PSA assignments, headcount forecast, and professional services fees in alignment with Regional Service management
- Collaborate with APAC Services Leadership and Regional Leadership (and other RMOs where available) to provide insights and drive best practices into each region
