We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a **Assistant Relationship Manager, China Outbound and Belt & Road Initiative - Corporate & Institutional Banking.**

**Principal Responsibilities**

In this role you will
- Work to achieve the Group strategy and business objectives
- Share knowledge, experience and best practices within and outside of immediate team and promote a collective culture to spread experience and best practice
- Manage a portfolio of International Banking Chinese clients and build upon existing and winning new long-term relationships with the customers we want to bank, coherent with Corporate Banking strategy to be the Leading International Trade and Commercial Bank
- Develop effective strategies to manage customer relationships, anticipate customer needs and provide a superior quality service to position HSBC as the market leader in this segment
- Collaborating with product partners to identify and match customer needs with relevant expertise
- Ensure a quality service for all customers by owning customer engagement, ensuring service excellence at all times, for all aspects of any customer, prospect or professional’s interaction with HSBC
- Maintain awareness of operational and fraud risk within assigned portfolio and minimize the likelihood of it occurring including its identification, assessment, mitigation and control, loss identification and reporting
- Be an ambassador for HSBC and develop the bank’s profile in the local community, with a particular focus on international business

**Qualifications**

To be successful you will need
- Professional with extensive experience in managing commercial relationships with international needs
- Ability in identifying and meeting customer needs through matching a broad range of products and services
- Drive and ability to learn
- Ability to interact with business customers at all levels with excellent interpersonal and presentation skill along with organizational skills
- Good credit assessment skills
- Proficiency in Mandarin (writing/speaking) is required for client communication
