At the heart of Deutsche Bank’s client franchise is the Corporate Bank, a market leader in cash management, FX risk management, lending, trade finance, trust and agency services as well as securities services. Our Corporate Coverage team provides clients with holistic solutions to meet their strategic objectives - with full access across the Corporate Bank’s product suite as well as the expertise of the Investment Bank.

DB’s Coverage teams provide clients with full access to the expertise of Corporate Bank and Investment Bank. Our Non-Banking Financial Institutions (NBFI) Coverage focuses on offering treasury solutions to large international Insurance, Asset Managers and Private Equity companies.

Deutsche Bank is looking for an AVP to join its China Outbound Coverage team in Singapore. As a Junior Coverage Banker, you will be responsible for supporting the China Outbound desk on key client relationships, producing accurate and timely analysis of clients, compiling competitor data, producing pitch book presentations, and supporting our clients.

The JCB will develop a good understanding of the origination processes, product offerings and assist with the preparation of internal desk reports and pipeline information, working under the guidance of the GCB.

**Your key responsibilities**:

- Ensuring, in close cooperation with the Head of Regional Corporate Coverage for China-ASEAN/India, that Deutsche Bank is the provider of choice for Greater China clients and that all avenues for working with our clients across different geographies and products are explored.
- Supporting the execution of the China Outbound coverage strategy
- Contributing to the development of marketing materials and to building Deutsche Bank’s China Outbound Coverage franchise and reputation in the market.
- Attending meetings with clients alongside Head of Regional Corporate Coverage for China-ASEAN/India to build relationships with existing and potential Greater China clients. Actively driving meeting preparations and key follow ups.
- Developing strong productive relationships and coordinating with other Deutsche Bank colleagues to ensure clients receive seamless worldwide banking services.
- Pro-actively develop understanding of Corporate Bank products and solutions for China Outbound.
- Remaining abreast of industry trends and themes.
- Supporting with the onboarding process for clients (working closely with KYC and control colleagues), responding to internal/external stakeholder queries.
- Establishing and maintaining KYC profiles and other required client information in accordance with the Bank’s policies and procedures and ensuring on-time completeness of all client-related KYC requirements.

**Your skills and experience**:

- Strong command of both the Mandarin and English languages with effective verbal and written communication skills, due to coverage of Chinese clientele in the region.
- 2-3 years+ of banking experience with a broad understanding and interest in Chinese (China/Hong Kong/Taiwan) business, including an appreciation of the Chinese market environment and trends across various industries and sectors.
- Experience in managing large corporate client relationships with senior client contacts and able to understand the strategic priorities of Chinese clients in order to support the execution of complex deals.
- Strong analytical skills capable of assimilating new information quickly and pro-actively relating them to the needs of the client base.
- Ability to connect and build strong relationships with colleagues across the business franchise and in other regions.
- High level of energy and accessibility, clear team player. Strong networking skills and a proactive approach to working with colleagues across the business and in other regions.
- Good project management skills and ability to work autonomously. Fast learner with proactive problem-solving skills.
- Strong Microsoft office skills (PowerPoint, Word, Excel) with ability to prepare impactful presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Educated to degree level in a relevant financial discipline or with relevant industry experience

Role is required to be performed on-site at One Raffles Quay office. Relevant vaccination requirements may apply.
