Develop and implement strategies for middle
- and back-office operations that align with the overall business objectives of the Bank in the Commercial and Transaction Banking landscape.
- Manage existing outsourcing arrangements (Model 1 and Model 2) with CIMB Malaysia.
- Manage daily operations of the middle
- and back-office functions, ensuring efficient processing of transactions, settlements, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Lead the end-to-end outsourcing lifecycle from requirements gathering, contracting, transition to change management pertaining to Commercial and Transaction Banking operations.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse team of professionals across various operational functions, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement in outsourced location and in-country.
- Implement robust governance frameworks, risk management, and control mechanisms for outsourced processes across Commercial and Transaction Banking.
- Responsible for the adherence to all regulatory requirements and internal policies within middle
- and back-office operations.
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for operational efficiency and effectiveness; regularly review performance against these metrics.
- Act as the key liaison between front office teams (e.g., sales and trading) and back-office support (e.g., settlements, accounting), ensuring effective communication and collaboration to enhance service delivery.
- Manage relationships with outsourcing service providers and ensure adherence to service level agreements (SLAs).
- Coordinate and manage all stakeholders between Commercial Banking SG, Transaction Banking SG and CIMB Malaysia’s counterparts/ outsourced entity.
- Drive continuous improvement for the BPO processes within middle
- and back-office functions to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve client satisfaction.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including Operations, Technology, Risk, Compliance, BU, etc.
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement technological solutions that enhance operational capabilities and data management.
- Manage the BPO programme outcomes and ensure programme targets are achieved.
- Report on programme performance, risks, and escalate issues to senior management.
