The Head of Market Expansion is accountable for the decision and execution of expanding Shopback Financial Products (starting with BNPL) outside of Singapore and Malaysia. You will work with new Country GMs to design and execute appropriate Go To Market plans covering all functional areas: eg. Product, Business Development, Marketing, Operations and Payments and Partnerships. Success will be measured by the effectiveness of rolling-out each new market and handover to operating teams.

**Responsibilities**:
New Market Assessment and Recommendations

Research and explore new business and market opportunities across Asia.

Determine high level localisations requirements, opportunity size and risks

Complete market research on product fit and competitive landscape

Develop Go/No-Go recommendations

Manage the end-to-end requirements and implementation teams

Work with the cross-functional teams to drive new market preparedness

Define business requirements around Product, Engineering and Operations

Work with Legal/GR to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements

Ensure alignment with Finance on investment business case and operating plan

Develop and Manage Launch plans with Country GMs

Work closely with the talent acquisition team to set up world-class teams

Develop and drive go-to-market execution plans to ensure effective launch

Monitor performance and assist with adjustments to execution plans as needs be

Manage effective hand-over to operating teams

**Requirements**:
At least 8 years of experience in marketing, sales or business development - Having eCommerce or startup background would be a strong advantage.

Proven experience in launching new markets for a global/regional Fintech or digital business.

Experience with hiring and leading teams.

Able to think out of the box in conceptualizing ideas for merchant acquisition and management - creativity and logical thinking would be key

Self-motivated and driven to excel and deliver.

Must be comfortable with C-level negotiations and have relationships with top decision makers.
