DESIGNATION : Head of Kaplan Financial

RESPONSIBILITIES

**Roles & Responsibilities**

**Business Development**
- Lead and direct the business development efforts of the business.
- Develop and execute marketing and commercial strategy to drive value for the business working together with assigned marketing staff.
- Provide insights on the challenges and developments in the industry and market. Identify business’ strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats and develop and implement risk management strategies around these risks and opportunities.

**Stakeholder Management**
- Create positive relationships with stakeholders through appropriate management of expectations and objectives.
- Develop and build strong relationships with individuals, institutions and organizations to enhance the business unit’s reputation. Manage and grow relationships by delivering excellent value, consistency, quality and reliability.

**Financial Management**
- Responsible for the Revenue and Operating Income of the Kaplan Financial business.
- Oversee the financial management of the business, including budgeting, forecasting, cost control and monitoring of the budget versus actual results.
- Provide monthly commentary including explanation of variances versus budget and LE to Senior Management.

**Academic Leadership and Management**
- Manage the Kaplan Financial academic team of adjunct faculty to ensure quality and consistent delivery of content and student/ client satisfaction.
- Oversee recruitment, retention, and continuous professional development.
- Responsible for faculty manpower planning that supports current strategic plans and future needs.
- Responsible for course structure and course planning
- Responsible for the development of course materials, including assessments, including the assignment and supervision of internal or adjunct faculty engaged for material development.
- Take on teaching assignments as a means to stay close to the educational environment.

**Leadership and People Management**
- Provide strategic leadership to ensure the business’ financial viability and fulfilment of its vision. Monitor activities to ensure all are heading towards the agreed strategic direction.
- Oversee and develop a collaborative team of qualified personnel to ensure individual and organizational accountability.
- Responsible for developing talent and building a strong business team that will help the company to meet and exceed its performance goals and objectives. Ensure that there are individual development plans in place for people under the incumbent’s responsibility that include training plans, career advancement and succession planning.

**Continuous Improvement**
- Champion and drive value and process improvement.
- Ensure high quality of service and overall student/ client satisfaction.
- Keep abreast of new developments in technology to stay ahead of competition and business.

QUALIFICATIONS

**Requirements**:

- A recognized Bachelor’s degree, preferably with a Master in Business or Finance.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in a similar capacity.
- Solid knowledge and experience in the accountancy/ financial services industry, with good knowledge of financial services/ accounting business environment.
- Experience in leading a team to identify learning needs, design, deliver and evaluate programs (instructor-led, online or blended) that meet licensing/ accreditation requirements.
- Experience in developing and executing business strategy with measurable outcomes.
- Experience in building strategic partnerships.
- Experience in operational planning.
- Experience in instructional technology, quality assurance and managing accreditation requirements.
- Good knowledge of industrial trends and best practices.
- Experience in marketing and sales would be advantageous.
