**Job Summary**:
Are you looking for a new and exciting opportunity? Are you a leader that can motivate a team to achieve great selling results? Do you want to work in a role with great possibility? If so, this could be a role for you. We are looking for a Regional Head of Merchandising to join our APAC region.
Reporting to the Managing Director in APAC, you will lead the team of merchandisers, setting the allocation, replenishment and stock levels in all new/existing stores and online. The role is driving the selling and profitable net growth in the Region whilst also ensuring alignment with the online strategy.
**Responsibilities**:
- Produce the selling strategy for the region and the actions to drive them, set vision and goals
- Lead your merchandise team to engineer the regional commercial plan in consideration of buying and financial information for both channels, online and instore
- Lead and grow your team to grow the business, guide through the whole employee life cycle
- Collaborate with the regional Head of Sales and Ecommerce, as well as with the Regional Controller and follow up sales
- Drive your actions together with the global merchandise team supported by commercial product placement and external communication.
- Cooperate in line with the global Head of Buying and the global Controllers regarding the strategy, forecasts and volume to drive selling and growth
- Implement together with the Global Supply Chain Merchandiser and the Regional Heads of Merchandising the global multichannel allocation strategy
- Co-create with buying, visual and marketing team regarding the commercial plan and selling potentials, also opportunities and threats to secure the customer journey
- Working cross functionally you will set and implement the global commercial plan
- Identify quantitative selling opportunities and future potentials in order to drive a sustainable growth
- Create the merchandise budget and the buying strategy, develop and follow up the commercial plan that drives profitable net growth on an experienced level
- Set clear focuses and quantified goals and follow up, conduct and manage stock values and reduction costs and the financial plan
- Influence the buying process by providing knowledge of the customer perspective and global competitors together with market input to actively participate the upcoming buying plan and strategic
- Establish and drive the commercial priority of key products, garment groups and beliefs towards the markets
- Support in setting expansion strategies regarding concept offer and stock levels
**Requirements**:
- Minimum 6 years experience in fashion retail merchandising and in multinational companies
- Previous experience of managing a team
- Excellent knowledge and awareness of Asian markets including retail trends, ecommerce, climate, news and innovations
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
- Advance proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other analytical tools
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Ability to work cross functionally with a multi-cultural & geographically diverse organisation
- Can work in & bring structure to ambiguous environments, comfortable with managing change
