As a Senior Project Engineer (Power Mgt System), you will be responsible for designing authority for an engineering discipline with medium complexity. Completing assignments on multiple projects of moderate size or portions of major projects, cost-effectively and in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements. Reporting to Engineering Manager, you will be coordinating engineering discipline across several projects. Provides technical support for testing, installation, and commissioning activities. Designing and conducting experiments, analyzes, and interprets data.

**Your responsibilities**:

- Assisting in preparing proposal/presentation of engineering projects/programs (provision of bills of materials, estimated engineering hours, etc)
- Supporting contract managers in issuing claims (new/change in scope of work, cost impact, time impact, risk quantifications etc.). Providing cost effective quality solutions as per customer requirement and delivers within budget and contract
- Creating work plans and cost estimates in one’s area of responsibility. Reviewing and approving scope, budget and schedule for assignments and ensures quality deliverables on time and within targeted cost. Improving effectiveness of work plan in collaboration with other functions
- Completing risk and opportunity assessments and ensures implementation of resulting actions in one’s area of responsibility. Reporting any contract / quality / program / cost issues to management along with recommendations for resolution
- Interacting with customers, officials, contractors, and others. Attending project meetings and presents specific aspects of engineering assignments
- Collaborating with the supply chain function to ensure that technical requirements for equipment or services are communicated and agreed to with potential suppliers
- Maintaining network of engineering professionals and shares engineering best practice across different projects and disciplines

**Your background**:

- A bachelor’s degree in electrical or Control Systems Engineering, or similar field
- Min 3 years of Systems Engineering for a Power Management Systems
- Knowledge of ABB 800xA Engineering in IEC61850
- Knowledge of ABB 800xA PMS Library Engineering
- Ability to understand Electrical schematics and design Control Systems Communication Network
- Knowledge of Power Loading controls, sharing and control of Power plant generators and power grids
- Ability to understand Electrical schematics and design Control Systems Communication Network
- IEC61850/GOOSE protocol knowledge - familiar with RSTP, MRP, HSR, PRP, Firewall
- Power plant Load Shedding and Load Sharing - knowledge of power loading controls, sharing and control of power plant generators and power grids
- Generator Synchronization and hardware design
- Interfacing with ABB Electrical Automation Relays (LV/HV) - Industrial Protocol experience in Modbus, Profibus, Profinet. Etc
- Project Engineering, documentation, and commissioning
