**Purpose & job summary:
- We are looking for a highly motivated self-starter. Frequent travel throughout Asia Pacific will be required in this role when restrictions allow.
- Reporting to the APEJ and Japan Regional Presidents and working alongside both Regional IT heads (North America and EMEA) as well as the Global IT team, the Asia Pacific Regional Head of IT will help re-shape the IT function throughout the region as well as globally. A Global IT transformation programme is currently underway and it will be necessary to work closely with the Programme and IT departments within the region to ensure a successful outcome.

**Responsibilities**:

- To facilitate strategic planning in partnership with the Regional Presidents and Executive Board
- To act at the senior regional contact point for the management of the outsourced relationships, including approval of Level 3 processes, monitoring of reporting and review of SLAs
- To support local operations and propose IT solutions to achieve strategic objectives
- To represent the regional position at a Global level and ensure regional initiatives are aligned with Global strategy, driving collaboration between local IT and the Global IT team
- To motivate and develop existing IT staff to ensure a best of breed, first class service for our customers
- To build, enhance and develop new and existing 3rd Party supplier relationships
- To act as a single point of coordination for IT audits in the region, working with local IT.

**Requirements & experience:
- 5 Years or more experience in an existing senior IT management role, potentially including experience in technology consulting, with a majority of time operating in Asia Pacific
- Degree, (or professional equivalent), in a technology related discipline
- Commercially aware and comfortable with numerical reasoning
- Demonstrated team leadership, staff motivation and development skills
- Understanding of business analysis, principles, processes and techniques
- Ability to prepare and present budgets and use cases to board level
- Strong consultative and advisory skills
- Working knowledge of Prince II / Agile or similar project management methodologies
- Working knowledge of ITIL
- A finger on the pulse of all new and emerging technology solutions
- The ability for growth and to learn with the company as it expands
- Excellent IT security foundation knowledge
- Experience of both working in manufacturing and sales / commercial operations in an environment where there are significant differences in the size of operation in countries across the region. Experience within an organisation with operations in China would be advantageous
- Experience of working in a matrix managed organisation and
- Experience of working in an organisation undergoing a global IT transformation programme
- Excellent communication skills
