- Ensure proper handling and storage of all shipped goods.
- Coordinate with carriers and negotiate shipping rates as needed.
- Provide training and development opportunities for shipping staff.
- Ensure all shipping equipment is properly maintained and in good working order.
- Assist with budget planning and cost control for the shipping department.
- Stay updated on industry trends and changes in shipping regulations.
- Handle customer inquiries and complaints related to shipping.
- Ensure safety protocols are followed in the shipping area.

**Requirements**:

- High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in logistics or related field is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Shipping Supervisor or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of shipping processes and best practices.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to lead and manage a team effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in shipping software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of inventory management and control.
- Familiarity with shipping regulations and compliance requirements.
- Ability to lift and move heavy packages as needed.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to track and report on shipping metrics.
- Experience with budget planning and cost control.
- Ability to negotiate shipping rates with carriers.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends if needed.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally.
- Willingness to stay updated on industry trends and changes.
