- 10 years of experience in software engineering, with web services or mobile client software.
- Experience managing engineering teams.
- Experience with software development in one or more general purpose programming languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript, C++/C, Go, etc.).

Preferred qualifications:

- Master's degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or other technical field.
- Experience in technical innovation.
- Ability to set and drive strategy while providing technical guidance.
- Ability to develop technical talent and motivate a team to work collaboratively as a cohesive and productive unit.
- Ability to uncover root causes of technical problems.

**Responsibilities**:

- Lead and manage an engineering team within Geo, focusing on ensuring our users have the best possible experience.
- Drive technical projects and provide leadership in a fast-paced environment. Take responsibility for the overall planning, execution, and success of technical projects.
- Contribute to and foster our team's supportive and inclusive culture.
- Develop and grow engineering talent through effective mentoring, coaching, succession planning, and retention strategies in a growth-focused environment.
