**About our group**:
RMO Material Science Laboratory’s primary mission is to provide analytical test solutions to enable media and substrate process and product qualification as well as product yield, quality and reliability. The team also serves a critical role on HDM tribology, contamination and defect reduction, working closely with and enabling other functions in the disciplines of Mechanical, Electrical, Recording Technology, R&D, Customer Interface and Manufacturing. This role will report to an Engineering Manager.

**About the role - you will**:
Task to setup and develop a material characterization methodology Ellipsometer Spectroscopic. Work with R&D team to support measurement focus on media Carbon overcoat absorption efficiency.
- Perform material science lab test and hands on operation laboratory analytical instruments, analyze and characterize thin film material composition
- Work in a team that develops and deploys technical solution to meet the CTQ and reliability requirements of hard disc drive
- Work closely with the design functional groups to provide high-level support to product engineering team

**About you**:

- Self-motivated achiever with innovative in Materials Science/Chemistry/Nanotechnology
- Proficient problem-solver with analytical skills to evaluate risks and business strategies
- Influential interpersonal communicator, negotiator and presenter
- PhD in Material Science, Chemistry, Physics

**Your experience includes**:

- Specialize in microstructural property and physics, alloy composition, thin film magnetic layer material characterization
- Accomplished lab skills, including operation of analytical spectroscopic and data analytics techniques
