**Summary**:
The Metals Recycling Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the metals recycling process at our facility. This includes managing a team of workers, ensuring safe and efficient operations, and maintaining high-quality standards for recycled materials.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:

- **Supervising Recycling Operations**:Oversee daily operations of the metals recycling facility, including sorting, processing, and baling of ferrous and non-ferrous metals.
Manage a team of workers, including assigning tasks, training new employees, and monitoring performance.
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and environmental standards.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- **Quality Control**:Inspect incoming materials to ensure they meet quality standards.
Identify and separate ferrous and non-ferrous metals accurately.
Conduct regular quality checks throughout the recycling process.
- **Inventory Management**:Track inventory levels of all incoming and outgoing materials.
Prepare reports on daily production and inventory levels.
Coordinate the sale and shipment of recycled materials to buyers.
- **Scrap Sourcing**:Develop and maintain relationships with scrap metal suppliers.
Negotiate prices and contracts with suppliers.
Source new sources of scrap metal to meet production demands.
- **Equipment Maintenance**:Ensure the proper maintenance and repair of all recycling equipment.
Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and coordinate repairs.
- **Safety and Compliance**:Conduct regular safety inspections and enforce safety protocols.
Investigate and report any safety incidents.
Ensure compliance with all environmental regulations.

**Qualifications**:

- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 3+ years of experience in the metals recycling industry.
- Proven ability to identify ferrous and non-ferrous metals.
- Hands-on experience with metal sorting and processing techniques.
- Experience in scrap metal sourcing and procurement.
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including exposure to heat and inclement weather.
- Must be physically fit and able to lift heavy objects.
