The Administrative Resource Coordinator will provide assistance for SMART’s Interdisciplinary Research Groups Principal Investigators, Researchers and Staff. The individual will initially assist with all administrative and financial facets for a large scale interdisciplinary research group. The Administrative Resource Coordinator will work closely with the Administrative Resource Manager and Human Resources Manager and with other SMART Headquarters functional areas.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provides assistance to the Administrative Resource Manager on financial, human resources and other administrative matters;
- Assists with monitoring and reconciling SMART accounts;
- Assists with procurement related activities;
- Reviews expenditures;
- Assists with the submission of hiring requisitions, when necessary;
- Assists with screening of resumes and arrange for interviews;
- Assists with reference checks and onboarding of new hires;
- Assists with logistic coordination of events, and calendar management;
- Serves as a resource to faculty, students and staff;
- Assists with other administrative operations as required by the IRG; and
- Performs other related duties.

**Job Requirements**:

- Bachelor's Degree with two years of prior work experience or Diploma in human resources management or finance/accounting with four years of comparable work experience, preferably in an academic/research environment;
- Strong willingness to learn, must have a flexible approach to responsibilities;
- Excellent oral and written communication skills;
- Willingness to work as part of a diverse team;
- Exercise good judgment and discretion with handling sensitive/confidential matters;
- Pay attention to details; and
- Strong interpersonal skills.
