
Branch Oversight Function Review Manager

The Branch Oversight Function Review Manager is responsible for performing self-assessment testing on critical control activities for branch operations, sales and service through the Manager Control Assessment framework and methodology. The incumbent will assess the effectiveness of the branch control environment and performance within acceptable branch control risk indicators through conducting onsite and offsite branch inspections, remote and digital monitoring of branch operational activities to check for adherence to established control process.
**Responsibilities**:
- Conduct control testing and reviews on branch operations within the stipulated time frame.
- Acquire strong understanding of Branch & Wealth Hub Operations process and control activities to enable contribution to resolution to business issues.
- Escalate key control gaps and review adequacy and effectiveness of corrective actions taken by business to address preventive controls that comprehensively mitigate risk of re-occurrence.
- Analyze documentation and processes to ensure risks and control points are properly addressed and are in accordance with Risk and Control Self-Assessments Policies. Contribute to workflow or process change and redesign.
- Identify improvement area and training gaps and provide guidance to staff of the branch network, sales and service teams on risk and control concepts, processes, and tools.
- Coordinate and ensure existing and new changes to the Consumer Bank Retail Branch Control Standards and Regional Consumer Control Procedures are disseminated to business and operation stakeholders for gap analysis and timely implementation of control process to meet the updated requirements.
- Accountable for accurate and timely reporting of Branch Oversight Function review results.
**Qualification and experience**:
- Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent in Business or related disciplines
- Minimum 5 years of experience preferably with three years in consumer bank branch services
- Relevant control and/or project experience is preferred.
**Skills required**:
- High attention to detail when making judgments and recommendations based on the analysis of information.
- Applies professional judgment when interpreting data and results.
- Ability to present a compelling case for ideas and initiatives through listening and articulating a convincing point of view
- Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective planning and organizational skills
- Proven ability to make sound business decisions
- Experience in process design and implementation to meet business performance objective
- Proficient in Microsoft Office with an emphasis on MS Excel
