**JOB DESCRIPTION**
Having quality data is crucial to every parts of the organization. It allows for seamless trading and investment activities, accurate reporting and generation of great insights through visualization. The Reference Data Associate ensures it all stays that way, and better.

As the Reference Data Associate, you will identify and refine inefficiencies to improve data quality, and deliver value to our stakeholders. Leveraging communication and organizational skillsets, you will drive discussions and forums to achieve the intended outcomes, which in conjunction with good analytical and problem solving skills, determines the design of the solution to be implemented. Coupled with good understanding of digital tools, the solution can then be actualized and delivering value to the stakeholders.

**Job responsibilities**:

- Manage and drive data quality initiatives which including change management, data analytics and remediation
- Work closely with data teams across the region on data quality related activities.
- Lead stakeholder meetings to discuss requirements, challenges and progress of data quality initiatives
- Leverage data tools, platforms, dashboards and technology to advance J.P. Morgan data strategy
- Ensuring proper controls and procedures are in place as part of solution design to reduce financial and operational risk
- Manage and coordinate data quality discussion meetings and prioritization forums
- Backup of data quality team where required

**Required qualifications, capabilities and skills**:

- Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree (in Finance, Science or Technology) or equivalent
- At least 3+ years work experience in Financial Services is required
- Strong experience leading data related change initiatives in an operational setting is a must
- Good stakeholder management and ability to drive conversations to extract the require details
- Inquisitive and analytical mindset, challenges the status quo, strive for excellence, while paying attention to risk involved
- Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively within a team and across departments
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills with attention to details to formulate effective solutions to address pain points and improve efficiency

**Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills**:

- Good understanding of data management lifecycle from sourcing, data quality to publication.
- Strong knowledge of financial instruments and relevant market activities, corporate action events and data vendors (Bloomberg, Refinitiv, etc.)
- Experience in digital tools like Alteryx, JIRA/ Confluence and UiPath will be preferred
- Experience leading or managing teams/people will be a plus
