**Job Title**:Product Owner - Real Time Payments Platform

**Business & Team**:
The Payments domain at CommBank brings together the process, people and technology assets supporting real-time, bulk electronic, cheques, high value and international payments for the Bank. The team power 40% and $90 billion of payments daily within Australia from Retail consumers to our Institutional clients in a reliable, seamless way. Payments are the heart of the Bank, with almost every customer-facing channel relying on our payments services. The Real Time Payments & Payments as a Service (RTP & PaaS) Crew within the Payments Domain are responsible for leading the vision, strategy and implementation of the future of Payments for the Bank and support the largest market share of Real Time Payments in Australia.

**Impact & contribution**:
As a Product Owner within the RTP & PaaS, you will lead the Real Time Payments platform working closely across the Crew and Domain. This will incorporate the delivery of changes to the existing platform, modernisation capabilities and development of the strategic roadmap to support future RTP use cases and changing customer needs. You will be leading the direction of your squad to achieve this, while creating a psychologically safe, inclusive, accountable and a high-performance culture.

**Roles & Responsibilities**:

- Define the squad product vision, goals and roadmap aligned with customer needs and RTP & PaaS Crew objectives and purpose.
- Develop and design RTP engineering solutions for products and platforms to address identified needs or opportunities and build and prioritise the Squad backlog in collaboration with key stakeholders.
- Lead and develop a squad of team members including Engineers, quality engineers and BAs, creating a psychologically safe, inclusive, accountable and high-performance culture.
- Identify risk, dependencies and issues for the squad in line with excellent management of operational risk and compliance outcomes.
- Stay abreast of external market trends - regulatory, economics and innovation.
- Build and foster strong relationships across the product value chain, including Business Banking Technology, Retail Technology, Compliance, and Finance, leading virtual teams to ensure efficient delivery of strategic initiatives and resolution of issues.

**Essential Skills**:
We are seeking an experienced Product Owner with a Payments background. Experience with the following will help you succeed in the role:

- 10+ years of industry experience
- Adept at defining and driving technology roadmaps and execute relevant strategies within the domain or reference architecture and help foster an excellent engineering culture that is open, safe, productive and fun for everyone
- Advanced commercial acumen and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Advanced communication and Influencing skills.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving capability with advanced delivery skills.
- Exposure to Java, IBM WebSphere, and Mainframe will be advantage

**Education Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree/Master’s degree in Engineering in Computer Science/Information Technology or any similar stream
